We considered all options, even going online-only; we needed a fresh perspective. CMP seemed to have the publishing expertise we were looking for to revitalize the directory and get it back to making a healthy profit. Chambers are experts in commerce. CMP’s expertise is in marketing and publishing. Our 3-person staff had its hands full with chamber operations. It made sense to hire outside expertise, and I’m glad we did. The results exceeded our expectations.

Operating under a short timeline, CMP organized a sales campaign, arranged compelling editorial, rearranged the content and created a distribution plan. They brought-in a professional sales person who worked in tandem with our in-house sales efforts. As a result, sales increased and our hard costs were reduced.
We feel the next edition of the Guide will build on the success of the current edition and is better-positioned to increase sales, increase member participation, increase readership and generate more traffic for our members, both in print and online. Yes, the Guide is now online for the first time greatly increasing the exposure for advertisers and our organization.

"The principals of Chamber Marketing Partners have assisted chambers with their visitor’s guide and membership directory publishing needs for many years, establishing a reputation for quality service and overall knowledge within this specialized marketing area. Recognizing that more and more chambers are now pursuing greater revenue from producing such publications on their own, CMP provides the professional expertise to assist any chamber with transitioning to this new in-house publishing business model. The principals strike me as genuinely caring about a chamber’s success."
